Reel Borders studies how borders are imagined through film

Keynote presentation


On 9 November, Kevin Smets gave a keynote lecture on the Reel Borders project at the international conference “Mediterranean Crossings: Rotating Politics of Migration in the Mediterranean Space”, hosted by Ibn Zohr University in Agadir and co-organized by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung. One of the ABCeuta shorts based on a story by Khadija, “Daughter” was also screened for the conference participants. We want to thank the conference organizers and especially Mohammed Ouhemmou for this opportunity to share our work!
