Reel Borders studies how borders are imagined through film

Conference: Film, Migration & the Archive





On 2 June 2022, our research was included in the program of the Film, Migration & the Archive conference, organized by the Film Studies section of ECREA. The conference took place at the University of Lisbon. The paper by Irene Gutiérrez and Kevin Smets, was titled “Towards a ‘cross-border archive’: Remediating the dividing lines between Ireland-UK and Morocco-Spain through institutional and grassroot initiatives of footage exchange”. The paper is also partly based on the Spanish Cinemah.mov project. More information about the conference can be found here.
