Reel Borders studies how borders are imagined through film


Irene Gutiérrez, responsible for participatory filmmaking at Reel Borders, has contributed a chapter in the Elgar Encyclopedia of Global Migration: New Mobilities and Artivism, edited by Laura Oso, Natalia Ribas-Mateos, and Melissa Moralli. In the chapter, she outlines the main approaches to participatory filmmaking in migration research and some challenges that must be considered for ethical implementation.
