Reel Borders studies how borders are imagined through film

Irish film Institute Reel Borders shorts screening



The Irish Film Institute has included our Reel Borders shorts from the participatory filmmaking workshop set in the Nerve Centre in Derry (April- June 2022) as part of the Culture Night 2023 programme. On 22/09, Emer, Michael, Tom and Seamus discussed how they co-created their films between Donegal and Derry. Additionally, Irene Gutiérrez talked about the narrative and aesthetical challenges of making these four films, which include amateur film footage provided by the Irish Film Institute and the Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive—more information about the event here.
