Guest Lecture. Migration: a media and cultural studies perspective.





On 17 May 2021, prof. Kevin Smets was invited as a guest lecturer as part of the Tilburg University Honors program “The societal challenge of migration”. During the lecture, he discussed what a media and cultural studies perspective can contribute to a a more nuanced and complete undersatnding of migration as a global phenomenon. He focused on 5 themes: communities, representations, borders, conflicts and space.
