Two presentations at NECS Conference




Double bill for Reel Borders at the NECS Conference!  At the annual conference of the European Network for Cinema and Media Studies in Izmir (Izmir University of Economics), the team presented twice. Irene Gutiérrez organized a workshop on participatory filmmaking as a research method, together with project collaborators and partners İlke Şanlıer, Sally Hllouby and Sezen Kayhan. As part of panel on Kurdish cinema (organized by Bahar Şimşek), Kevin Smets presented on the Rojava Film Commune as kinotopic counter-cinema.
