Guest Lecture at the University of Granada. Visual methodologies: The cineforum as an ethnographic method.




On December 2, 2022, Silvia Almenara-Niebla participated as a guest lecturer in a seminar for Anthropology undergraduate students at the University of Granada, Spain, as part of her visiting period hosted by Antonia Olmos during fieldwork in Ceuta and Melilla at the Migration Institute.

In her lecture "Visual methodologies: The cineforum as an ethnographic method" she highlighted the potential of the cineforum as a method for understanding bordering experiences.
