Are the borders in our minds the most difficult ones to break down? Adana, Turkey. A group of Turkish students are making a documentary about daily life in the Kocavecir district, also known as Little Aleppo for being home to the largest number of Syrians displaced by war. The first challenge is to confront their own prejudices. They may not speak the same language as their Syrian neighbours, but after a few days, they find ways to share, communicate and, above all, they realise that their stories of war, displacement and resistance are much more complex than what the mainstream media tells them.
