Reel Borders studies how borders are imagined through film


Reel Borders PI Kevin Smets has contributed a chapter to the second edition of the Handbook of Research Methods in Migration, edited by William L. Allen and Carlos Vargas-Silva. In the chapter, he outlines the major approaches to visual research and strategies for applying them in the study of migration. The chapter is published open access and can be found here.
